Section 2 brought us through the heart of Southern Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. Dramatic passes, ghost towns and one of a kind vistas, and terrain made this section the highlight of the trip.
Our first riding challenge came on Ophir Pass, just outside Telluride. This is a rocky road with tight switchbacks that require a slow and methodical pace (check out our video on the videos page). We then continued east on more rugged backroads toward Lake City over several high altitude passes including Corkscrew Pass, California Pass, and Cinnamon Pass.
