With over 2 million acres of public land, the Pennsylvania wilds is one of the best outdoor recreation destinations in North America. The region, rich in history and culture, includes many state parks and forests, abundant wildlife, some of the darkest skies in the country, and the largest elk herd in the northeast.

We have selected a 500 mile route on mostly easy dirt roads, following a track known as Backcountry Discovery Routes’ BDR-X. If you have never ridden a BDR, this will give you a taste of what these adventures are all about!

This 4 day adventure consists of 2 experienced guides, 1 night hotel lodging (double occupancy) and 3 nights camping. All meals and lodging are included. Our support vehicle will meet us each night to help create our catered meals and memorable camaraderie by the fire!

Each trip is limited to 6 riders plus 2 guides.

Don't have camping gear? - we can help!

Trip Details

Wednesday -

We will meet at our designated hotel in Pennsylvania for a brief orientation and light dinner at 7:00 pm.

Thursday -

We head out for a quick ride on pavement until we hit the start of our track. Our first night’s camp is river front so bring shorts and water shoes!

Friday -

A shorter day passing through State College gives us more options for lunch. Camping on this night is in a state forest (no services).

Our support vehicle carries a hot water shower system and portable bathroom.

Saturday -

Our longest day backcountry with limited access to services. This will also give us opportunities for more challenging terrain, if desired. Our final nights camping will be in a state park campground.

Sunday -

Another fun day back country will bring us to the ending point of our loop. Riders will have the option to join us at the original hotel or head home. This optional night is not included in the rate.
